STITCH / THE FIT NOTES
Fit & Fabric

Start with a garment, not a guess.
Lay a similar jacket or skirt flat without stretching. Measure between underarm seams for chest width, across the waistband for waist width and across the widest hip point. Double these widths when comparing the circumference values on our product pages.
Understand the length.
Jacket back length is measured from the base of the neck to the hem. Sleeve length runs from the shoulder seam to the cuff. Skirt length runs from the top of the waistband to the hem; wrap measurements follow the longest panel. The base listed product length is the M-size specification; each other size has its own length.
Read the room in the silhouette.
A relaxed linen jacket has more chest ease than a shaped single-breasted jacket. A pleated skirt carries more hem volume than a pencil. The tables describe garment dimensions, not body dimensions and not a promise that every construction fits the same way.
Fabric affects the line.
Linen-cotton has a visible weave and a relaxed character. Cotton-rich blends create more defined edges. Viscose-containing fabrics can follow a longer line. Composition is listed product by product; follow the actual supplied garment's care instructions rather than inferring care from an image.
